Promoters and Owners Working Together

The annual RPM Promoters Workshops are all about friends and ideas--colleagues helping colleagues, veterans mentoring newcomers. Promoters share ideas and experience in an informal environment, “roundtable” discussions, open forums, after-hours camaraderie and networking. 

Racing industry luminaries and “outside” experts join promoters as speakers and presenters.  Among past guests are: Ben Shields, coauthor of “The Elusive Fan: Reinventing Sports in a Crowded Marketplace”; Wally Parks, founder of NHRA; baseball promotion expert Bill Veeck; Bill France Jr.; John Cooper, International Speedway Corporation; Cary Agajanian, leading industry legal expert; journalists Chris Economaki and Dr. Dick Berggren; broadcasters Ken Squier and Dave Despain; and promoters "Humpy" Wheeler, Ed Clark and Clay Campbell.

The promoters who attend represent weekly scheduled tracks, special event tracks and touring series from throughout the United States and Canada, with guests from Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
